Dr. Mel Hopper Koppelman

About 7 years ago, after earning two Masters Degrees in health care, spending hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars on additional training and treating patients for nearly a decade, I had to admit it...
I really didn't understand the basics of how the body became sick or how to get it well again.
I declared intellectual bankruptcy.
It wasn't because I was stupid. Or because I wasn't trying hard enough. A lot of it has to do with stories and assumptions baked into our culture as well as fundamental aspects of our fascinating and vulnerable human psychology.
Once I admitted defeat, I began the humbling and multi-year task of rebuilding my knowledge from the ground up, using strict filtering for what is true, what is conditional, and how to teach people to really help themselves.
I found some amazing teachers who, like a barnacle, I've attached myself to for life. And I love nothing more than taking these foundational maps of health reality distilled by masters and weaving them together to synthesize something new, beautiful, and useful.
