Everyone Knows You Can't Drink Evil Bone Water. But...

It's what Zheng Gu Shui wants to be when it grows up.
Don’t you sometimes wish you could drink Evil Bone Water?
So do we. But we can’t...
So, we decided to search TCM Weaver to find compatible formulas we can ingest while enjoying the healing effects of EBW topically.

There are plenty of internal formulas that can address pain, etc. But what’s a good match for Evil Bone Water?
Here are the top 3:
(Be aware most of these are contraindicated during pregnancy due to their blood moving qualities)
1.

Qiang Huo Sheng Shi Tang
Let’s say you’re using EBW for a more superficial level condition, with a stiff neck and upper back, stiff spinal muscles, and difficulty rotating the trunk.
If it’s accompanied by generalized heaviness or pain, and headache, try pairing it with Qiang Huo Sheng Shi Tang internally.

This formula is for painful obstruction with wind dampness. It’s typically an external contraction due to exposure to cold after heavy sweating or living in a damp environment (think immediately of your mold patients).
QHSST will expel wind and dampness along with EBW's external help...
2.

Huo Luo Xiao Ling Dan
If you’re treating severe fixed pain, bruising and swelling from traumatic injury, or rheumatic pain, reach for Huo Luo Xiao Ling Dan.

It’s for pain from qi stagnation and blood stasis obstructing the collaterals. It’ll help invigorate blood, dispel blood stasis, unblock collaterals, and alleviate pain.
Pairing an internal formula with an exterior application of Evil Bone Water is the best way to restore the flow...
3.

Qi Li San
For your favorite martial artist or extreme sports fan who is buying Evil Bone Water by the case, add a non-Zhu Sha variation of Qi Li San to help with bruising, swelling, possible bleeding, and fixed severe pain accompanying traumatic injury.
You know you can’t slow them down but QLS can help with the blood stasis and qi stagnation that may occur.

Qi Li San invigorates blood, dispels blood stasis, moves qi, reduces swelling, alleviates pain, and stops bleeding.
Paired with Evil Bone Water, this formula is a must have for rough and tumble patients.
These are ony the first three formulas we've found that fit.
This video has a few bonus formulas that also pair really well for different cases.
There you have it!
